Christmas Gift With a Poem!!!

We exchange gifts with a great family friend every Christmas.  This year we agreed to have our kids shop the dollar store for each other...they had a blast and we didn't spend a fortune!  That's my kind of Christmas shopping!  (And the kids loved choosing gifts without hearing, "That's too much!")

My friend had mentioned they had purchased a little something for Mike and me too.  No!!!!!  What did that mean?  What kind of a gift should I get?  I wanted it to be thoughtful, creative and stay within our gift budget...so "A Meal a Month" was created!  Here is the poem that I wrote to present the gift!

A Dinner Poem

“What to eat?  What to eat?” ponders the mom.
“Hot dogs?  Grilled cheese?  PB&J?”
“What to eat?  What to eat?” wonders the dad.
“McD’s, BK or Chick Fil A?”

“What’s to eat?  What’s to eat?” scream the kids.
“We’re ready to eatRIGHT NOW!!!”
Sound like your family? We know what you need,
A home cooked meal with which to feed!

Time is flying by and the budget is tight.
Have no fear; we’ll provide you a bite!
So once a month from January to December
A meal for you the Peterson’s will remember!
